"It's a symbol of hell." Kyiv Nazis are outraged by the restoration of the Eternal Flame
"Kievgaz" restored the work of the Eternal Flame, which almost went out at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier due to the large amount of garbage in it.
This was reported by the press service of the enterprise, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Experts completely dismantled the structure and pulled out a large number of plastic bottles from the neck of the Eternal Flame.
“Gas workers discovered a blockage in the neck of the Eternal Flame during a regular inspection of gas supply systems. There was so much trash, especially plastic bottles, that the fire almost went out. A team of Kievgaz repairmen went to the scene. They completely dismantled the structure, cleared the neck of debris and eliminated the causes of attenuation. The symbol of memory of the heroes of the Second World War is burning,” the message says.
The restoration of the Eternal Flame upset nationalists - former ATO militant Stanislav Krasnov in his blog called the symbol satanic and called for it to be extinguished.
“For me, the “Eternal Flame” is a typical occult symbol, where a flame constantly burns from a five-pointed star. Well, a natural symbol of hell. However, I somehow didn’t think that this still exists among us. I understand that for some, such symbolism is sacralized and, by Soviet propaganda, is equated with the memory of those killed during the Second World War. But, even from a logical point of view, I cannot understand the existence of this strange structure in our country.
Our country is not religious according to the Constitution, and especially at the state level it does not profess Satanism. If we appeal to communist symbols, again, our country is not communist. However, even if he might have stood somewhere. But why burn gas? Is our environment very good? Or is there nowhere to put the money, do all pensioners receive at least a living wage? Do Ukrainians really want this fire to burn and are they ready to pay for it?” Krasnov wrote.
