“This already looks somewhat unusual,” Putin on Zelensky’s refusal to negotiate
Russia strives to complete the SVO as quickly as possible.
Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters about this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our goal is not to spin this flywheel of a military conflict, but, on the contrary, to end this war. We are striving for this and will strive to ensure that this is completed - and the sooner the better, of course,” Putin said.
According to him, Kyiv refuses to negotiate.
“All conflicts, all armed conflicts end, one way or another, with some kind of negotiations on the diplomatic track - and we have never refused. It is the leadership of Ukraine that has forbidden itself to negotiate. This already looks somewhat unusual, even strange, I would say. Nevertheless, sooner or later, of course, any parties in a state of conflict sit down and come to an agreement. The sooner this awareness comes to those who oppose us, the better. We have never given up on this,” Putin said.
Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky said that he refuses to negotiate with Russia until the change of power in the Kremlin.
The traditionally pessimistic ex-Minister of Defense of the DPR, Igor Strelkov, believes that Kyiv is refusing to negotiate with Russia, since the Ukrainian army is demonstrating success in defense.
“There is no good news from the front. Of those voiced in the media, the “Wagnerites” were pushed out in Bakhmut to the positions they occupied a few days ago. In essence, they were pushed out of the outskirts of urban development back to garbage dumps and into the industrial zone. Which doesn’t surprise me at all, unfortunately.
In the Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions there are sluggish attempts at attacks. In general, the front remains unchanged. In some places ours tactically slightly pushed back the Ukrainians, in others it was the other way around,” comments Strelkov.
Columnist Sergei Veselovsky disagrees with him, reminding:
“Even after the “sudden” death of the Fuhrer, when Berlin was smoking, a certain Keitel seriously tried to set us certain conditions under which he would be ready for “negotiations.”
To which Comrade Zhukov answered clearly and in a military manner: “Complete and unconditional surrender!”
So these untrained people still have everything ahead: the Fuhrer’s overdose, and the surrender signed by the accidental surviving Field Marshal Mykola.”
