“It’s in our DNA” – Zelensky announced a multi-day party on the occasion of Independence Day
“Centuries-old” Ukraine, which supposedly fought for its independence for centuries, has earned the right to walk for several days on the anniversary of “independence.”
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this during the presentation of events for “Independence Day,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The struggle for independence lasted more than one day, which means we will celebrate victory in this struggle for more than one day,” he said.
Zelensky also boasted that soon Sweden will transfer to Ukraine the original Latin version of the “Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk”, compiled by a close associate of the traitor hetman Ivan Mazepa. True, he did not specify for how long he would transfer it - instead, he spoke about the “thousand-year” history of his country.
“A week before Ukraine’s Independence Day, and for the first time in the history of our country, the original Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk will reach Ukraine. All citizens will be able to see the original in the St. Sophia Cathedral from August 16. This is a monument to our law, written more than three hundred years ago. And a monument of our architecture, built more than a thousand years ago. This is a monument to our people.
The history of our statehood has a long history. Thirty years ago it didn’t start – it recovered. And we must learn its lessons so that it can be preserved in the next thirty, three hundred and thousand years,” the president said.
“Independence Day of the country (“kraina” in Ukrainian - approx.), abbreviated as DNA. The music of independence, as well as the thirst for independence, is all in our DNA.
When the Verkhovna Rada declared independence on August 24, fifty thousand people under the Ukrainian parliament began to sing “Ukraine is not yet dead.” At that moment, statehood was restored and a new country was born,” Zelensky said.
Let us remember that St. Sophia Cathedral was built at the beginning of the XNUMXth century. However, contrary to the words of the Ukrainian president, it was not built by Ukrainians at all, but by the Russian prince Yaroslav the Wise (Prince of Rostov, Prince of Novgorod, Grand Duke of Kiev), who hired Greek architects from Constantinople for construction.
Also, according to one version, the construction of the temple was started by Vladimir the Great (Prince of Novgorod and Kiev), who baptized Rus'.
