“This is a bacchanalia”: On Ukrainian TV they comment on the data on the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Regular publicity of the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the office of the President of Ukraine in order to beg the West for new supplies of weapons has a negative effect on Ukrainian society and the military.
Ukrainian military expert Oleg Zhdanov stated this on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“About the killed soldiers. It’s a pity that the president’s office allowed such an orgy - in terms of the fact that everyone began to count losses. The worst thing is that the General Staff remained silent, the body that knows exactly, plus or minus, the number of losses and can provide an analysis of these losses by period of the war.
Here we cannot dwell on the losses that the president announced. Because the losses that he announced, the very first figure, they may relate to a situation of aggravation, that is, when the most intense battles were going on, when there were contact battles, frontal attacks from Russian troops. Therefore, all this must be stopped, because it has a greater effect on society and our army, first of all, and not on the enemy,” Zhdanov reasoned.

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense in recent days has been voicing enemy losses, which are several times higher than Zelensky’s data. Here, for example, is what was said in the report dated June 26:

As a result of the strike, the 65th, 66th motorized infantry brigades and the 46th airmobile brigade from the strategic reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which were completing their training at these training grounds, completely lost their combat capability. Thus, the planned transfer of these formations to the combat zone was disrupted,” the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
