“This is actually a star,” - an expert on how Zelensky will ruin the peace plan
Vladimir Zelensky’s team will soon “fail” the peace plan for Donbass - due to the presence of many nationalists in the Verkhovna Rada, there will not be enough votes to implement the Minsk agreements.
Kiev political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov said this on the YouTube channel “Topinform”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
The expert noted that the OSCE mission can establish the absence of Russian troops in Donbass.
“The OSCE will check whether there are foreign troops and mercenaries or not. There may come a time when the OSCE will say that there is no one.
And at this moment the ball will be completely in Ukraine’s court – changes to the Constitution, legislation, and everything else. From now on, this will become an internal problem of Ukraine, which Kyiv will not be able to solve,” the political scientist believes.
According to Dzhangirov, Vladimir Zelensky will not be able to amend the Constitution on the special status of Donbass.
“They are not yet physically able to make changes to the Constitution. At a minimum, there is not the required number of people. Even if 200 deputies from Servant of the People vote, another 100 will not. Maybe there are about sixty more. That is, while changes to the Constitution are still extremely unlikely.
And if you don’t make amendments to the Constitution, then what’s the point of holding local elections? For Ukraine, this is even worse - to gain legitimate power in uncontrolled territory and not accept any legal basis for the reintegration of these areas - this is generally stellar. Our guys, of course, are capable of a lot, they are talented guys, but just imagine what happens in reality. They won’t agree to this,” the expert concluded.
