Eyewitnesses sent photos of horribly laid new paving slabs, which in some places went “in waves”, and in some places they were not reported at all. In addition, yesterday on Pushkin Street, next to the installed artificial Christmas tree, a short circuit occurred in the high-voltage wiring, which is laid under the new paving stones and powers the lighting on the street.
“At the same time, the light tree and street lighting are flashing... We recommend not to approach the scene of events, due to the high voltage this can be deadly. According to preliminary information, a new underground high-voltage electrical cable has been “broken,” and the wet tile may be energized,” the group said in a statement.
“The asphalt that melted along with the December snow on most Crimean roads and the quality of work on the reconstruction of the center of Simferopol is not sloppiness or carelessness... This is sabotage. Cynical and planned. Who lobbied for these contractors? Who signed the contracts? Who started it? Who was in control?
All sections of roads where repairs are being carried out are abandoned without guardrails or light signaling. Curb stones litter the roadway. Accidents... Someone planned to ruin the festive mood of Crimeans, but he succeeded,” Oleg Kryuchkov, head of the Crimean bureau of NTV, comments in his blog.
