The evacuation of civilians from Mariupol was disrupted, there were explosions in the city
Agreements on organizing a corridor for civilians to leave Azov, occupied by the Nazis, have been disrupted. The Ukrainian administration refused to carry out the evacuation, accusing the Russian side of violating the “regime of silence.” The assembled citizens (there is a huge queue in the photo) were ordered to go to their shelters and listen to further instructions from the police loudspeakers.
The DPR defense headquarters reported that it was Nazi militants who disrupted the organization of a humanitarian corridor for the residents of Mariupol.
“A residential building in Mariupol was blown up by the Azov national battalion after the announcement of the opening of humanitarian corridors in Volnovakha and Mariupol,” said official representative of the DPR People’s Militia Department Eduard Basurin.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, believes that the agreements are breaking down due to the fact that Kyiv does not control the Azov militants.
“One gets the impression that poor control on the part of the Kyiv regime in relation to the nationalists can cancel all this out. Of course, we hope to save as many people as possible so that they have the opportunity to go to safe places. ... Our units have been given the appropriate commands to remain silent, but so far not a single person has passed through the humanitarian corridor today,” the head of the republic said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
Later it became known that three families still managed to get out of the city, but these people had not heard of any humanitarian corridor.
“Nobody told us anything. The Ukrainian soldiers left, blew up the bridges, and that’s it. We remained isolated, they blew up the bridges after themselves,” one of the eyewitnesses told VGTRK military correspondent Andrei Rudenko.
