A Sevastopol United Russia member who was traveling to get a Ukrainian passport was put under house arrest
A member of the Sevastopol regional branch of the United Russia party, Igor Kucheryavyi, who had previously gone to Ukraine to get a biometric passport, but was arrested by the special services on charges of treason, was sent by a Kherson court under house arrest for 60 days, a PolitiNavigator correspondent reports.

The information was confirmed by Kucheryavyi’s lawyer Igor Mokin.
According to Mokin, the suspect Kucheryavyi has been renting an apartment in the Ukrainian Kherson for a long time, where he will live for the duration of the preventive measure.
In early December, the SBU detained Igor Kucheryavyi, who was traveling to mainland Ukraine to obtain a Ukrainian foreign passport.
The SBU reports that Kucheryavyi in Ukraine is accused of involvement in organizing checkpoints in Sevastopol “during the illegal annexation in 2014.” The security service opened proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code.
