Elena Berezhnaya told the details of her detention in Kyiv
Kyiv human rights activist Elena Berezhnaya was delayed by national police officers without any reason, while she was not wearing a T-shirt with the colors of the St. George Ribbon, as previously assumed.
She herself announced this on her page in Facebook, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
"Friends! My detention today by police beaters is not connected with any St. George's ribbon! I was wearing a black sweater and jeans! As a co-organizer of the “No One is Forgotten! Nothing is forgotten! I arrived with like-minded people at 7:50 a.m., presented my passport and went through check through the checkpoint - flowers, a bag and bags of water, cups and sandwiches for Veterans! I communicated with the leadership of the national police of Kyiv regarding the passage of the orchestra musicians and accordion player! Then I was surrounded by more than ten police officers who dragged me towards the car using violence! There they could not explain to me why I was detained! One of the employees explained that it was to find out their identity!” Berezhnaya wrote.
Thank you!
