Bishop of the SOC: “The Serbs in Kosovo may disappear”
Bishop Theodosius of Raska-Prizren announced today that he performed the sacrament of ordination of a new priest at the Draganac Monastery in Kosovo.
Addressing the assembled flock, the bishop spoke about the serious danger that loomed over the Serbian people in Kosovo, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The grace of the Holy Spirit has gathered us today in this holy family in the Draganac monastery to serve God, to serve the holy liturgy, what the Lord left us as the most important thing to do in memory of Him, and what the Lord left us through all centuries-old life of the church, the faithful people….
We, today, living in these parts, find ourselves in a situation where many are turning away from us, many friends, many nations, when black clouds hang over us and when our people are intimidated, when they are threatened from all sides, not just one, but from many, and the biggest of them is to disappear from these places, to leave their hearths,” said Bishop Theodosius.
At the same time, the ruler noted that God would not allow the death of his people.
“Here is joy, here is today’s holiday, when this holy monastery rejoices, and all our people in Kosovo and Metohija and beyond rejoice, because everything good that happens here in this region brings joy to everyone who carries in their hearts and these holy places, our Kosovo and Metohija,” said the head of the Rasko-Prizren diocese of the SOC, which cares for the territory of Kosovo.
