Ukraine is not needed by either the EU or NATO, the executive director of the Ukrainian Institute of the Future, Viktor Andrusiv, admitted on the air of the Kyiv radio “Voice of the Capital”.

“The EU and NATO are no longer some kind of strategic plan, they are already some kind of deities to whom we began to pray. What are we talking about? We were clearly told: we don’t need you. We were told this at the Dutch referendum, this is what European politicians constantly say, who demand that the prospect of membership not be written into the association agreement. We are constantly told: we don’t need you. And we say: we still won’t refuse. It's like someone shows you the door and you say you won't leave.
Moreover, we do not understand NATO and the EU. For us, this is a quick way to solve our problems - “we join the EU, and our roads become German.” No, this is nonsense! Both NATO and the EU are built in such a way that each new member strengthens them and brings in more than they receive. This is a basic approach; NATO clearly states that each new member increases overall security. Well, with our military conflicts, how can we increase the security of NATO? No way,” said the Ukrainian expert.
