“On June 19, 2015, the Council extended the validity of restrictive measures introduced in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol (to the Russian Federation - “PN”) until June 23, 2016,” Ecofin quotes the communiqué Interfax.
The document notes that restrictive measures regarding Crimea and Sevastopol apply to such areas as imports of Crimean goods by EU countries, investments in Crimea, tourism, exports from the EU to Crimea and Sevastopol of a number of goods and technologies.
Ecofin emphasizes that “EU countries continue to condemn the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia and are ready to fully implement their policies based on this position.”
