The EU showed the fig to Ukrainian planes
Despite the fact that Ukraine can produce high-quality aircraft, the EU gives preference to other manufacturers.
Political expert Anton Finko said this on the Newsone channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent, answering the question why the association agreement with the EU does not contribute to Ukraine’s European integration.
“Europe welcomes us extremely, but does not accept us into its ranks. We, unlike Bulgaria, Romania or Poland, are not an EU country. Brussels does not offer Ukraine the prospect of European membership,” the expert noted.
In addition, he added, the EU is in no hurry to buy Ukrainian products with high added value.
“For example, our Antonov planes are not so bad; they have many advantages. This is high technology, but if each of us visited an airport in Brussels or Paris, would we notice that Lufthansa uses these aircraft? No, because they are interested in promoting Airbus. The problem is that the EU is in no hurry to open its doors to Ukraine, despite the fact that the European market is very important for us,” Finko emphasized.
