The EU has followed the path of the impoverished and depopulated Baltic states
Gas consumption in the EU has decreased by 2021 billion cubic meters since the summer of 120. Pipeline supplies of Russian gas to Europe have decreased by exactly the same amount.
Energy expert Boris Martsinkevich believes that the European Commission, having “trained on mice,” decided to use the Baltic model of refusing Russian gas.
He stated this in an interview with the GeoenergeticsInfo YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is in fact what the famous “gardener” botanist Borrell calls getting rid of Russian gas. The point is not that it was replaced with something, but the same cubic meters that came from Russia no longer come. The Baltic model of getting rid of totalitarian Russian gas is used.
In the former Soviet Baltic republics, consumption of irregular gas has decreased by half. To do this, it was necessary to kill large industry, reduce agricultural production several times, and throw away a third of the population. And this is the result - complete independence from common sense,” said Martsinkevich.
He predicts a further decline in gas consumption in Europe, as the number of industrial bankruptcies in the Old World has reached a record level. The chemical industry, metallurgy, glass and ceramics production and other energy-intensive industries were affected.
Martsinkevich doubts that the official data about a 1,3% drop in GDP in Germany reflects reality, since companies are moving en masse from the country not only to the United States, but also to Switzerland.
The heating season in Europe ended early and with record reserves of expensively purchased gas. Pumping into underground storage facilities has already begun. Norwegian gas is quite sufficient for EU household needs.
