The EU demands from Ukraine what it prohibits Poland
The European Union continues to insistently demand that Ukraine lift the ban on the export of timber cut down in the Carpathians. Political scientist Alexey Yakubin stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The EU demands that Kiev adopt, let’s be honest, an environmentally harmful norm for our country, which will allow more round timber to be transported, when the EU itself demands that Poland not cut down Belovezhskaya Pushcha and uses this against Poland, pointing out that it is violating European standards. At the same time, the EU is contributing to the stripping of our Carpathians. It looks strange,” said the Ukrainian expert.
