The EU no longer plays a positive role and is not able to exist for many years - Vaclav Klaus
The European Union is doomed, since its preservation requires a serious transformation, which Brussels nevertheless will not agree to.

This opinion was expressed by Czech President Vaclav Klaus in an interview with Izvestia, answering the question of how stable the European Union is as an association.
"It is becoming obvious to me that the European Union is no longer able to exist for many years,” believes Vaclav Klaus. – The EU is no longer at the stage where we can talk about its positive contribution to the development of Europe. I always compare our time with the period of the end of communism. Then there was a need not so much for reforms as for the transformation of society. I believe that at this stage the EU also needs a fundamental transformation. True, I believe that nothing will change. The European Union will continue to stick to its line, just like communism once did, until the very end.”
The publication’s interlocutor also spoke about the migration crisis in which the EU finds itself today.
“I even wrote a book about this,” said the Czech president. – In it I wanted to show the connection between the Great Migration of Peoples, which occurred one and a half thousand years ago, and the current situation. Mass migration then practically destroyed existing Europe, and now the situation is similar. If we talk about migration, we always need to understand what kind of migration we are talking about. If we are talking about individual migration — This is normal, it's a completely different matter — mass migration. What is happening now in European countries, this whole influx of refugees into EU countries and the decisions of European leaders to accept these people — this is a tragic mistake. I think this needs to end.”
