The EU rejected Ukrainian poultry and Hong Kong eggs. Import of both is prohibited
The European Union has banned the import of Ukrainian poultry meat due to an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5) in the Kherson region.

The State Food and Consumer Service of Ukraine reported this.
An outbreak of bird flu was recorded in the village of Novoaleksandrovka, which is located approximately 20 kilometers from the border with Crimea. The village has been quarantined. It is specified that there are about 4,5 thousand birds in Novoaleksandrovka.
The State Food and Consumer Service noted that they had received official notification of a ban on the export of eggs from the Kherson region to Hong Kong, as well as poultry meat and poultry products from throughout the country to the EU.
The department added that in order to restore exports from areas free of bird flu and introduce regionalization, detailed information on the measures taken to eliminate the disease was sent to the EU.
