Another decisive step by the Kyiv Metropolitan: A crushing blow to the nationalists
Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev, subjected to persecution in the Ukrainian media for refusal to stand during Petro Poroshenko’s speech glorifying ATO participants, took another no less courageous step: decrees were issued on the removal from office of Metropolitan Alexander Drabinko, who was considered the informal head of the nationalist wing in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Drabinko was dismissed from the post of head of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC-MP, as well as the rector of the Church of All Saints of the new cathedral complex of the Holy Resurrection Cathedral, which is being built to replace the Vladimir Cathedral seized in Kyiv by schismatics.

Drabinko owes his rise to the special favor of the previous head of the UOC-MP, the late Metropolitan Vladimir.
