If Dzhemilev had come to Crimea, nothing would have happened,” Grach
Simferopol, May 06 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – Ex-leader of the Crimean communists, author of the Ukrainian Constitution of Crimea Leonid Grach calls on the authorities to continue the long-term policy of pacifying the illegitimate Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars.

The politician told Navigator about this, commenting on the events of May 3, when Mejlis members, having broken through the special forces chain, arbitrarily crossed the border of Crimea with Ukraine north of Armyansk.
“This issue is gaining international resonance. I think that the Majlis and its leaders need to understand that they are already in a different legal field. There will no longer be freedom like there was in Ukraine,” said Grach.
At the same time, he recalled that the Majlis is a serious political force in Crimea.
“But I think that the rulers of Crimea need to think carefully about what the results will be in the future. I am far from a supporter of Mustafa Dzhemilev and the Majlis, but I must admit that he really has authority not only among the Crimean Tatars, but also among the international community. And he won this authority throughout his life,” the communist praised the ex-head of the Majlis.
“Against the background of the negotiations that Dzhemilev had with Putin and against the background of the fact that Putin is moving to resolve the problem of the Crimean Tatars, the statements of Aksenov and Kovitidi are too loud. The way the Crimean Tatars quickly gathered and broke through the border suggests that the authorities need to be well aware that these processes are taking place on the eve of the day of deportation. And this means that this wave around Dzhemilev will grow. But this tension needs to be relieved. I think that if Dzhemilev had come to Crimea, nothing supernatural would have happened. And now this has already turned into a rather aggravated situation,” Leonid Grach is sure.
