“In the Western world, such things began to break through more and more. A person who assumes that democratic principles of the world order are the only possible ones will never talk about creating a gendarmerie on a global scale. The man who was responsible for creating an atmosphere of trust, security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic space tells what has apparently been in his head for many years. These are the people who are selected to lead international organizations controlled by the United States and are promoted in the European political elites,” Zakharova said.
In her opinion, the current level of threats has proven that they cannot be dealt with alone. She cited the decision of the Six on the Iranian nuclear program as a positive example.
“If the world gendarme, represented by the United States, had solved this situation alone, there would have been another war. The situation was resolved collectively. Thanks to the fact that there were different views among the six, we achieved success,” Zakharova said.
At the same time, in Afghanistan, where the Americans “delegated the role of gendarme to themselves,” according to Zakharova, there is now an increase in drug production, and as a result, terrorism.
