“If Chubais had supported me, we would not have left Slavyansk” - Strelkov

Former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov stated this on the channel of political scientist Vitaly Kolpashnikov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kolpashnikov recalled that in one of his broadcasts ex-State Duma deputy Daria Mitina toldthat the former head of the Rusnano corporation, Anatoly Chubais, allegedly advocated the liberation of all of Ukraine from the Bandera regime back in 2014 after the reunification of Russia with Crimea.
“In 2014, Chubais wrote a note that there was no need to stop at Donbass, but to go to the Dnieper, to Lvov, and that on the contrary, he was one of the leaders of the hawk party, and he was not even accepted (although the president had never refused him before). That he, on the contrary, believed that you also need help, as I understand it, in Slavyansk,” the political scientist asserted.
“The fact is that if Chubais wanted to help me in Slavyansk, then given his personal condition and the sums he controlled, I probably would have held Slavyansk and launched a counter-offensive in all directions,” - Strelkov commented.
He added that at that time money decided a lot.
“Often, with the help of money you can get almost any amount of weapons, you can buy enemy commanders, but in 2014 this did not pose much of a problem at all. If I had Chubais’s means, I could have deployed there very strongly (or even at least part of these means),” the commander said.
However, he directly answered that he did not believe in this story.
“Somehow, I don’t believe that Anatoly Borisovich, who suddenly took over the Northern Military District at the beginning and was evacuated to Israel, thought differently in 2014. The fact is that Daria Mitina is a lady of known, as they say, high social responsibility, that is, from the point of view of the fact that she lies as she breathes. Therefore, in my opinion, either someone sang it to her, or she is lying on her own because she wants to,” Strelkov concluded.
