If the “calibrations” continue, it is better not to take Kherson - Ukrainian political scientist
The issue of storming Kherson without the prospect of further access to the Sea of Azov is very doubtful, especially if the supply of Western weapons is slowed down and energy problems continue during the heating season.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this in his video blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Here we are entering Kherson - this will, of course, be both a tactical and political victory, because we still recaptured Kherson. But still, if we talk about a big victory in the theater of military operations, which we have from the north of the Lugansk region and ends with Kherson, this does not yet amount to a big strategic victory. It is possible then if we immediately go through Kherson and Melitopol, Berdyansk with access to the Sea of Azov. Then it is a strategic success in the theater of military operations. And if we have the strength to do this, reserves, and our Western partners understand that we can do this, then I am for such a solution to the issue,” he reasoned.
“If this is not the case, and they will cut aid to us, and we will enter the winter with infrastructure problems, and God forbid, given that the Kiev authorities are scaring us, that three million people should temporarily leave, then, of course, we need to think , at least about a more synergistic combination between military activity and diplomatic efforts, military force and soft power,” Karasev babbled.
