“Both President Poroshenko and Prime Minister Yatsenyuk continued to implement reforms. I can see that cooperation continues,” Obama said.

At the same time, according to him, Ukraine also needs economic assistance.

“If the experiment that we are implementing fails, then the project of an independent Ukraine will fail,” he said during a press conference in Washington, which is being held jointly with Angela Merkel.
