Former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, ex-ambassador to Belarus Roman Bessmertny stated this on the ATR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If Putin takes over Belarus, it is a direct threat to the Baltic countries, and I think the same for Poland. Secondly, Poland, this means that the EU will begin to crack. There will be a question of NATO's capacity, which means that the United States will have to confront Russia.

In addition, he emphasized that a local clash between the United States and Russia is necessary, otherwise Moscow cannot be stopped.
“I think that there will be direct local intervention of the US Armed Forces; this confrontation will no longer be possible. To put it bluntly, Putin is placing his troops on the border with Poland and Lithuania, and the Americans are openly moving their troops there. Something like the Cuban Missile Crisis will happen.
