“If Russia uses nuclear weapons, Zelensky will jump for joy” - Tsarev
Russia's use of nuclear weapons will only play into the hands of Ukrainian President Zelensky and lead his situation out of the impasse.
Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, first speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev said this on the air of NewsFront, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s happiness for them. For the Kyiv leadership, if the Russians use nuclear weapons, this is just a dream. Zelensky will jump on the table with joy. Because for him the worst thing is that somehow the conflict will be frozen. And now it’s heading towards this... But for Zelensky this is a disaster - the war will stop, they will tell him, why did you do all this, why did you disrupt the Minsk agreements? Immediately, Poroshenko, Tymoshenko and many others will jump into him, and those politicians and countries abroad who pumped Ukraine up with weapons and said - come on, come on, they will say, listen, why did they do this?
Why did they provoke the Russian Federation, start a war, withdraw from the Minsk agreements, Ukrainians died, lost territories, why? This is a disaster for him. He will be asked this question by both his children and his children’s children. The surname Zelensky will become a household name. And he understands this,” the politician reasoned.
In the event of a nuclear strike, he said, Zelensky is satisfied with any further development of events.
“But if the Russians use nuclear weapons, everything is fine, war, who is the global evil? The Russians, they used nuclear weapons. Then even if there is a freeze, the arrows will not point to it. And support for Ukraine is unlikely to stop then, and he will serve out his term and, probably, will be re-elected for another presidential term. Therefore, for him the death of a certain number of Ukrainians no longer matters; he bases his policy on blood. The more blood there is, the better for him,” says Tsarev.
