If Semenchenko and Parasyuk get raked by the police for the blockade, Ukrainians will not be upset
The idea of a blockade of Donbass may be popular on Facebook, but not among ordinary citizens of Ukraine, and therefore the dispersal of participants in the blockade will not cause a third Maidan.

This opinion was expressed in a commentary to the online publication “Apostrophe” by Ukrainian political scientist Nikolai Spiridonov, who said that he favors a peaceful solution to the situation with the militants who blocked the railway connection.
“But if diplomatic methods are exhausted, then the new head of the National Police will have a chance to prove himself and show a “steady hand.” After all, if there are threats of rolling blackouts and the country’s energy security, then I do not rule out that force will have to be used,” the political scientist said.
At the same time, he emphasized that forceful dispersal of blockade participants will not lead to a third Maidan.
“I very much doubt that there will be a wave of indignation. We have already had attempts to shake up the situation in Ukraine, which is already unstable. For example, a year ago there were unrest on the Maidan, when the Cossack Hotel was seized, but then all this was leveled out. Recently the Maidan was announced again and there were clashes between deputies from “Samopomich” and an attempt to storm Bankova. But the idea of blocking Donbass is not popular among the people. It may be popular on Facebook, but not among people, so Self-Help will be left alone with its problems. If now Semyon Semenchenko and Volodya Parasyuk are pushed away from the railway tracks, then Ukrainians will not be deeply outraged by this,” Spiridonov is convinced.
“Indeed, at the beginning of February, blockade activists already tried to block the Konstantinovka-Bakhmut highway, along which military and medical vehicles ply,” Apostorof recalls. – But in a matter of hours the police of the Donetsk region pushed back the blockade participants off the highway and resumed driving. Then the forceful actions of the police did not cause mass popular indignation.”
As PolitNavigator reported, the militants of Parasyuk and Semenchenko proposed to block the train to Moscow.
