If “Minsk” fails, Ukraine faces “Syria” or “Afghanistan”
A political settlement of the conflict in Donbass is the only way to remove Ukraine from the battlefield of the world superpowers.
Ukrainian political expert Anton Finko stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine today finds itself in the situation of a resonator country, on the territory of which the strongest players are sorting out relations, as was the case with Afghanistan, and today, to a certain extent, with Syria. The task of the Ukrainian political class is to prevent “Afghanization” and “Syrianization.” We are one step away from the “Syrianization” of the Ukrainian conflict,” the political scientist warned.
“That is, from this point of view, the speakers of the “peace party” are right: it is necessary to implement the Minsk agreements and remove the Ukrainian people and territory from under attack. Ukraine urgently needs such a vector of political settlement,” Finko added.
At the same time, the overwhelming majority of Ukrainian politicians are dreaming of entering with military boots into the territory of the rebel republics of Donbass.
