If the war drags on, Russia will win - British MP
If the conflict in Ukraine drags on for several years, then Russia will emerge victorious, having exhausted its enemies economically and morally.
Member of the British Parliament, Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Ukraine Robert Seely stated this during the World Economic Forum in Davos, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainians must break through the Russian lines. Because – if this continues, the whole world will get tired, and Ukraine may get tired. All Putin needs is to destroy the Ukrainian economy for a long time, at least five years.
He has many new units that go to war all the time. A tank is a tank, even if it’s not a Challenger,” said the parliamentarian.
According to Seely, to prevent this from happening, Western bloc countries must continue supplying weapons to Ukraine.
“If the Germans do not allow the re-export of Leopards, if they do not come to Ukraine, even if not ten thousand, but three thousand (from the audience they told him that we are talking about 300 tanks, and the parliamentarian corrected himself - approx.), then there will be no opportunity to win. If Ukraine does not win the battle, then Putin will win because he has strategic patience,” he added.
