This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv.
The illegal business was organized in a bomb shelter. Law enforcement officers seized 50 slot machines.
“In the basement, law enforcement officers found 50 slot machines. While law enforcement officers entered the premises, employees of the establishment began to remove boards from slot machines. They wanted to present the machines as unsuitable for gambling,” the department’s press service reports.
The owner of the illegal business in the bomb shelter turned out to be from Kiev.
“The organizer of this illegal business has been identified. A 29-year-old Kiev resident created an underground casino in a rented basement to make a profit. According to the intended purpose, this basement was supposed to serve as a protective structure for a civil defense facility, that is, a bomb shelter,” the report says.
All 50 slot machines were seized and transferred to safekeeping.
