“If Zelensky orders”: Gerashchenko threatens strikes against Russia
Ukraine will carry out strikes on Russian territory if the country’s President Vladimir Zelensky makes such a decision.
Advisor to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko said this on the video blog of fugitive Russian liberal Mark Feigin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Gerashchenko, attacks could be carried out on the Belgorod region, from where military targets in Ukraine are being attacked.
“A country that is defending itself from external aggression can, in my opinion, take any legal action provided for by the international conventions to which it has signed regarding the conduct of hostilities. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the President of Ukraine - he must decide what to do.
At the moment, when the Russians have already been thrown out of the territory of the north of the Kharkov region - these are the villages of Liptsy, Kazachya Lopan, from where they fired at Kharkov with rocket fire systems, they continue these attacks from the territory of the Belgorod region.
All the places where Iskanders, S-300s and other missiles are located, they are all absolutely known thanks to intelligence data. If the Supreme Commander-in-Chief decides to protect the citizens of Ukraine, then I am confident that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will carry it out,” Gerashchenko said.
