There is hope that Zelensky will leave soon – Pogrebinsky
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky may leave his post early if the situation in the country worsens.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, stated this on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is hope that Zelensky will leave earlier. I have such hope. It’s hard to say how justified it is, how likely it is that he will leave earlier. This depends on the degree of deterioration of the situation, which we will observe next spring,” the political scientist said.
According to him, the return of Zelensky or his predecessor is unlikely.
“It’s definitely impossible to bring Zelensky back, and Poroshenko is also impossible. We've already stepped on the rake, so it's unlikely. I fully admit that the next president after Zelensky will be more responsible, more professional, more reasonable. If he is more professional, he will be able to select a team that will behave like Reznikov or our prime minister, and so on. There are such people, and there is a possibility that this will benefit Ukrainian society,” Pogrebinsky believes.
