Eugen Doga believes that in 23 years Moldova has not become independent, and calls for abandoning the “old rubbish” of history
Chisinau, August 27 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) – For the famous Moldavian composer, People's Artist of the USSR Evgeniy Doga, Independence Day of Moldova, celebrated on August 27, is not a holiday. He believes that in 23 years the country has not become independent, since it still has not changed its Constitution, which must write that the country’s language is Romanian.

“We have not yet decided what language we speak; the basic Law has not yet been changed,” Doga told IPN.
Speaking about the unresolved Transnistrian conflict, he noted that “a state has no right to be called independent when a foreign army is located on its territory.”
Doga criticized the authorities who allow individual parties to manipulate and mislead society. According to the composer, the Republic of Moldova cannot be considered independent if it is allowed to split society with the help of various anti-national programs.
Doga is also dissatisfied with the excessive bureaucracy in the country, due to which there are not enough Romanian books in Moldova and schools are poorly supplied.
“It’s not good what’s happening here. We will never enter Europe if we do not abandon the old rubbish. I want to sing beauty and would like there to be harmony between music and life. I write about happiness, but I see poverty,” said the maestro.
August 27 marks the 23rd anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Moldova.
