Evpatoria acquired the latest trams from Uralvagonzavod
The first modern tram, built for the city at the Uralvagonzavod enterprise, was brought to Yevpatoria.
The head of the city administration, Roman Tikhonchuk, stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the official, a total of 27 new trains will be delivered to Yevpatoria, which will soon go on line.
“The first one went! Friends, the first tram has already arrived in Yevpatoria. Now it will be assembled at the depot, installed on the rails, and very soon it will go to work on the route,” Tikhonchuk wrote.
Let us remind you that the agreement on the supply of new trams was signed in November last year. Also, as part of the federal targeted program, the city is reconstructing tram tracks. Evpatoria is the only settlement in Crimea where this type of transport has been preserved. The trams here have not been updated since the last century. The oldest, for example, are the Gotha cars, which were built in 1957. The youngest were 30-year-old Czech Tatras.
