Jews signed up for the neo-Nazi Azov regiment
The Jews of Ukraine went to enroll in the Azov regiment, which was based on far-right radicals.
The executive vice-president of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine Joseph Zissels reported this to the Kyiv magazine “New Time”, according to whom, right now “Ukrainian Jews have begun to recognize themselves as Jews of Ukraine.”

“The Jews of Ukraine took a very active part in the Maidan,” says Zissels. – Perhaps only the Crimean Tatars were more active. And Ukrainians appreciated this - according to the latest sociological studies, over the year the attitude towards Jews and Crimean Tatars in the country has improved significantly.
We do not count how many Jews were on the Maidan, but we know that many of them then went to the front. The most paradoxical thing is that some of them are fighting in the Azov battalion next to radical nationalists. In addition, guys with Israeli passports are also fighting in the east of the country. These are volunteers who train our soldiers. Israel has been at war for almost 100 years, and experience is the most valuable thing it can convey.”
