A PR specialist from Nikolaev, Alexander Noynets, admitted that, on instructions from the SBU, in 2014 he led the project “Russians against Novorossiya.” One of the main mouthpieces was the website “Peter and Mazepa” - a Ukrainian clone of the Russian nationalist resource “Sputnik and Pogrom”, with which Noynets himself collaborated before Euromaidan, but then launched his own resource.
Noynets published his confession on his social network page.

One of those who “coordinated” the project “Russians against Novorossiya” was Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Vysotsky, a comrade of the then deputy head of the SBU Andrei Levus.
“Actually, that’s how it all happened. We made Noynets Russian on a spring evening in the kitchen. I personally shaved his sidelocks))) The idea of “Russians are against Novorossiya” and “Russians are against Putin” was really relevant and necessary,” Vysotsky said.
