The Euro-illusions of Ukrainians have not yet dissipated
The number of supporters of pro-Western integration in Ukraine prevails over the number of opponents of this vector: for joining the EU - 50%, against - 28%; for Euro-Atlantic integration – 42%, against – 35%.
These are the findings of a study by the sociological group “Rating”.
When choosing between directions of integration into economic unions, 42% of respondents support joining the European Union, 36% support equidistance from Russia and the EU. 11% support joining the Customs Union, and the same number are undecided.
At the same time, in a regional context one can observe a trend where in the southern and eastern regions supporters of equidistance predominate (40-45%). At the same time, there are half as many supporters of joining the Customs Union in the South as there are supporters of European integration, and in the East their number is almost the same.
