This was announced by European Union Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström.
“We are already seeing positive results from using the Comprehensive Trade Agreement, but we would like to improve its effectiveness. I came to Ukraine with good news: the European Commission has made a decision to provide additional access to the EU market in addition to what is in the FTA agreement. This is an expansion of a number of basic positions in the field of agriculture - barley, oats, wheat, corn and also providing expanded access to industry - for example, fertilizers, shoes,” said Cecilia Malmström.
According to her, now the European Parliament must approve the proposal of the European Commission.
Let us note that the European Union made it clear to Ukraine that it sees it in its markets only as an agricultural exporter. We are not talking about high-tech industries at all.
