The European Commission has refuted Vucic’s haters: Serbia is the leader in GDP growth in the Balkans
According to the European Commission, Serbia's GDP growth in the first quarter of 2020 was 5%.
According to this indicator, Serbia even surpassed Turkey with its GDP growth of 4,5%.
According to the European Commission's report on the economic situation in the Balkans, since the beginning of the COVID crisis, Serbian companies have experienced certain difficulties, but have survived. At the same time, the authors of the report do not name the reasons for such stability, although they lie on the surface - these are the anti-crisis measures of the Serbian leadership.
According to the report, Belgrade surpassed all its neighbors in this indicator, including industrially powerful Turkey, where GDP growth was 4,5%.
The indicators for other Western Balkan states are as follows: Montenegro (2,7), Albania (2,5), Bosnia and Herzegovina (2,0), North Macedonia (0,2).
What is curious, but not surprising, is that the report also mentions the so-called “Republic of Kosova”, which even surpassed its Macedonian neighbors, its GDP growth result being 1,3%.
Thus, European data refute the false fabrications of the Serbian oppositionists, who constantly talk about the crisis and decline of the Serbian economy.
