Europe has a double profit from Ukrainian migrant workers - Kiev expert
At least half of the funds coming from workers in Ukraine and actually keeping the country’s economy from collapse returns back to Europe.
Ukrainian political expert Taras Zagorodniy stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our economy is now mainly supported by migrant workers who went abroad. Last year they sent $12 billion and closed our balance of payments. That is, only due to those caring people who still believe in our country, and, thank God, I want to thank them, our country is staying afloat, because they would have been bankrupt a long time ago.
Next, where does this money go? Where do they go in the chain? They go to a store where they buy imported goods. That is, Europe is again in double plus, relatively speaking. They took away our most productive people, they work in their factories, they send money, their families go to the shops...” said Zagorodny.
“The logistics are in place,” noted conference moderator, political scientist Vadim Karasev.
“Yes, logistics. And they return these 15 billion, half of them are definitely returned,” the expert added.
