Europe begins gradual dismantling of anti-Russian sanctions
The return of the Russian delegation to PACE is the first stage towards the lifting of European sanctions.
Political scientist Andrei Zolotarev said this on air on the TOPINFORM Internet channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, the European Union will gradually lift anti-Russian sanctions relating to Donbass.
“Ukrainians were once again shown that for Europeans, prices are more important than values. You can talk as much as you like about democracy, about solidarity with Ukraine, but when it came to pragmatic and selfish interests, the Europeans acted based on their own interests... This means that Europe is beginning to turn towards the gradual dismantling of sanctions against Russia. Again, prices will prevail over values... Perhaps they will remain in Crimea, but in Donbass, I think, sanctions will be gradually lifted,” Zolotarev said.
