European countries are afraid of Russia not because of a direct military threat, which in fact does not exist, but because of an alternative value system that could destroy the entire Western system.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr said this on the YouTube channel “PolitWera”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Europeans are focusing on the conflict of values with Russia. If you talk to representatives of the German elite, they will say: “Yes, Russia does not directly threaten us militarily, Russia does not want to seize German territory, Russia does not want to weaken our economy. But Russia has other values in Europe that directly raise concerns. Values that can put pressure on our liberal economic model and create an alternative, create an alternative pole within Europe, on which right-wing and traditional forces can rely, even reorient themselves.” They are afraid of this in Europe.

The German political scientist also told how Western countries purposefully promote Russophobia and destroy all pro-Russian figures.
“I don’t understand why there are such harsh statements towards Russia; it seems to me that the politicians who make these statements know Russia less and less. They want to please their media and Biden, who calls the tune in Europe. The worse you say about Russia in the West, the more the press praises you, interviews you, loves you, and forgives your mistakes. But as soon as you make a statement in favor of Russia, they destroy you,” Rahr concluded.
