Participants in negotiations in the Normandy format need to take into account the position of the Donbass republics, otherwise the announced “road map” for the implementation of the Minsk agreements will be stillborn.
The permanent representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Vladislav Deinego, announced this at a press conference in Moscow.

“Who should implement the road map? If the opinion of the LDNR is not taken into account, how will they carry it out? I think that the Normandy Four understands this very well,” he said, noting that amendments to the “road map” on the part of Donbass can be agreed upon within the framework of contact group negotiations in Minsk.
In turn, the speaker of the DPR parliament, Denis Pushilin, recalled that the last meeting of the Normandy Four in Berlin coincided with mourning events in Donetsk, where the funeral of the commander of the Sparta battalion Arseniy Pavlov “Motorola” took place.
“More than 50 thousand people took part in the farewell ceremony for the commander - this impulse of the people destroyed the opinion imposed by Kiev that our citizens do not support the republic. Perhaps from now on, the position of the residents of Donbass will be treated differently, including by the West,” Pushilin expressed hope.
“The death of Arseny Pavlov and the demonstration of unity by more than 50 thousand people demonstrated that the people of Donbass have formed a new civil society. This is a people to be reckoned with. Of course, you absolutely don’t want to do this, but you have to. Europe, of course, was amazed to see genuine national unity; before that, no one had suspected such a possibility.
From this point of view, the people of Donetsk and Lugansk were added to the participants of the Normandy format in the negotiations.
Therefore, the negotiations in Berlin can be called transitional - from the state of Europe’s understanding of the situation in the LPR and DPR as some kind of armed conflict between Ukraine and the Russian Federation - now this remains a thing of the past. Europe saw that things were different, and that it was necessary to talk to Donetsk and Lugansk. The very fact that 50 thousand people came out is significant and extremely important,” said Russian radio host and analyst Armen Gasparyan.
