Europe decided to “gild the handle” of Ukraine – “to help the front-line Donbass”
The European Commission has decided to send 50 million euros to help the territories located near the demarcation line in Donbass, said Valdis Dombrovskis, Deputy Chairman of the European Commission for Financial Stability and Financial Services in Mariupol, reports PolitNavigator correspondent with reference to the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

“We recently decided to provide Ukraine with an additional 200 million euros, of which 50 million euros will be allocated to the territories located near the demarcation line,” Dombrovskis said.
According to him, the EU will continue to provide financial support to Ukraine, in particular, within the framework of the macro-financial assistance program, but also intends to use other forms.
“We must continue our cooperation with Ukraine, continue to provide our support, also make efforts to peacefully resolve the conflict and do everything possible to preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. We must also do everything possible to support the citizens who live in this territory both in providing humanitarian assistance and assistance aimed at reconstruction,” he added.
Previously, Dombrovskis announced the allocation of 2017 million euros in grants to Ukraine in 200. In March, the European Commission already approved the allocation of 600 million euros in financial assistance to Ukraine.
