Europe, flirting with unitary Russophobic Ukraine, will get its own headache
Ukraine does not want to implement the Minsk agreements because they would end the unitary state model that allows Petro Poroshenko to maintain power. Political scientist Nikolai Silaev announced this today at a press conference in Moscow.

“Ukraine does not want to comply with Minsk. Many leaders say this openly. It is clear: the country is divided. Only a unitary state allows the authorities to dictate rules to the entire country. After the emergence of autonomous regions within Ukraine, such a course will be completed. The Kyiv authorities understand that they can support the right-wing Russophobic order only in unitary Ukraine, so they are resisting,” Silaev said.
In his opinion, over the past three years, Kyiv has been sabotaging and imitating the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
“This policy of Kyiv is made possible by the passivity of Ukraine’s Western European partners, who do not pay attention to the ongoing obstruction of agreements. The result of this policy is the incident with the German ambassador in Kyiv. The longer Europe turns a blind eye, the more often such antics will be repeated,” Silaev said.
