Europe expects steps from Ukraine to implement the Minsk agreements
The Minsk process is considered by Europe as the only way to resolve the conflict in Donbass, and Ukraine is expected to fulfill the political points of the agreements.
This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by Sergei Tolstov, director of the Institute of Political Analysis and International Studies, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The EU continues to focus in its documents on the fact that this is the only mechanism that allows us to regulate the crisis. But not only the EU. Let's remember Tillerson, who in early December recalled that, despite the fact that now there is no emphasis on this, Ukraine must do a lot to implement the Minsk agreements on its part.
It is obvious that the Ukrainian leadership should pay close attention to this issue.
Strengthening the ceasefire regime will also contribute to a more loyal attitude on the part of Europeans, since it will confirm Ukraine’s interest in a political solution to the issue.
At the same time, Europeans believe that political and diplomatic forms of resolving this crisis have not been fully used; Ukraine could do a little more in this regard,” the expert said.
