The European Parliament does not have enough votes to pass a resolution calling for a diplomatic boycott of the World Cup in Russia.
This was reported by “European Truth”, citing the Brussels correspondent of “Radio Liberty” Rikard Jozwiak.
“In the end, the European Parliament could not unite around a resolution calling for a diplomatic boycott of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but it will pass a resolution calling on the EU to “make a statement condemning human rights violations in Russia and attempts to hide them under the guise of the championship,” he said Jozwiak.
