The European stunned the Maidan activists at a conference in Kyiv: Forget about the EU!
Europe is disappointed in Ukraine and does not want to see it as part of the EU. Stefan Fuchs, vice president of the Havas Group, announced this today in Kyiv at the Yalta European Strategy conference.

“I hear a lot of naive dreams here. European support for Ukraine's admission to the EU has decreased by one third in 10 years. The direction is negative because there is fatigue in Europe. There are three questions: how much it will cost, corruption in Ukraine and the conflict with Russia. And all these three questions are frozen. Europeans no longer want to pay for someone else’s life with their budget. There is no leader in Europe who will fight this public opinion,” Fuchs said.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze began to object to him, insisting that Ukraine would join the EU not as a freeloader, but as a rich state. People's Deputy Sergei Leshchenko explained that Ukraine is rich in the creative economy: fashion designers, graffiti artists, musicians and IT specialists.
And the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Alexander Danylyuk, believes that the European media are to blame for everything, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The main news from Ukraine is not our conference and reforms, but Saakashvili on a white horse. And as long as there is such an unstable, unpredictable and poor-quality political situation, the media will create not a positive, but a strange image of Ukraine,” Danylyuk complained.
