Europeans fear the US more than Russia
For residents of countries that are members of the European Union, the United States seems to be a greater threat than the Russian Federation.
Political scientist Kost Bondarenko said this on the Newsone channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The fact is that both Merkel and the Europeans are increasingly straining relations with the United States. Today they consider the United States an even greater threat to their economic security than Russia. Yes, they do not trust the Kremlin, they do not trust Putin, they are in no hurry to throw themselves on his neck, but they are trying to balance the contradictions with Washington using connections with Russia. They are using Russia to make Washington more pliable,” Bondarenko noted.
