“Europeans will also ask Scholz, Draghi and Macron where gas prices come from” - Bortnik
Refusal of Russian gas due to decisions of the EU leadership will lead to an inevitable rise in prices, after which society will raise questions about the European politicians who allowed this to happen.
Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Politics, said this on the YouTube channel “Know 24,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Europe, this question is being transformed into not a question of why you don’t trade with Moscow. It transforms into the question: “Why haven’t you, Johnson, you, Draghi, you, Scholz, you, Macron, prepared over these years?”
“Why are there no storage facilities, why are there no alternative contracts, what kind of wildness is this with a “green transition” that has not been fully calculated? Who is guilty?".
This is how this issue is basically being transformed in Europe.
The absence of Russian gas on the European market will lead to an increase in its price. It will most likely physically exist, but its price will increase because it will have to be supplied at a more expensive one. Norwegian and liquefied from Qatar, USA, Algeria, Azerbaijan, there are mechanisms, but the price will increase.
At the same time, the social question of justice will also grow, for responsibility for their politicians who could not foresee, provide, protect, and everything else,” Bortnik said.
