Europeans have inflated the prices of cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and are trying to sell scrap metal
It has become much more difficult and expensive for Ukrainian volunteers to search for cars for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Europe.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Anton Senenko, a senior researcher at the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, who provides assistance as a volunteer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this in an interview with the anti-Russian propaganda publication Ukrainska Pravda.
“Car volunteering is perhaps one of the most difficult types of volunteering. The difficulty begins at the stage of searching for a car. Because if you buy a drone, you buy a new drone, if you buy a turnstile, it will also be new. And here all the cars were already in use. That's all, because new pickups cost 35-40 thousand dollars, and driftwood can be bought for 6-7 thousand.
When large-scale production just began, such machines can generally be found for 2-3 thousand dollars. But these cars began to be scraped out. And subsequently prices on the European market increased. And the more expensive the car, the better it is not always,” said the volunteer scientist.
He was asked whether sellers often tried to “sell scrap metal.”
"Regularly. And this is the pain of many volunteers. All car volunteers, sooner or later, are faced with the fact that they are trying to “pair” them with some very bad car,” Senenko complains.
